移民来到加拿大做中小学老师或做大学老师,损人利己。我自己经受了,我的孩子也经历了。还是放弃吧。

语言是最大的障碍,特别是发音,我认识一个香港移民,移民后经过培训很轻松考到教师资格,英语也很好,但由于发音问题,教了一短时间后,被学生起哄害怕了,压力太大,最后转行了。

当老师的门槛并不低。也许移民的发音怎么都不如本地人好,但是如果能拿到教师执照,至少安省教师学院认为他/她是合格的。就别说什么“损人利己”的话了吧。谁找工作不想利己呢,相信也没有人主观上是想“损人”的

你说得对,主观都是混口饭吃,但是客观上却给别人造成了无意的伤害。这不是对几个人的伤害,而是对一个很多人的伤害,我不得不用我自己的经历和感受说明。我相信,有在George Brown College学习过PLC的人有过类似的感受。

私立学校对教师资格没有硬性规定。但是所有public school对(英语非母语的)教师的语言要求都不低,特别是口语。人的语言能力有差异,就算都是母语,也有说得好坏之分。把所有移民教师都一棒子打死,没必要。
